Dallas County is the fastest growing county in the Midwest… for ten years running. To understand the property growth in Dallas County, consider this: Dallas County accounted for 18.6% of all new growth in Iowa for the 2025 assessment year.
Dallas County has added more residential value in 2025 than any other county in Iowa. Although Dallas County represents only 3.5% of Iowa’s total population, more than 22% of all new dwellings in the state were built here.
This exciting growth brings with it a sobering reality: we must handle our finances with utmost care and complete fiduciary responsibility.
With the Midterm election 40+ days away (at the time of this writing), there seems to be some confusion about how the Dallas County Board of Supervisors are elected.
Last year, the three-member Dallas County Board of Supervisors voted to increase the board to five total members. This change came about as a result of Dallas Counties’ 14 mayors encouraging the move to five members. It was thought that five members on the Supervisors Board would better represent the growing population of Dallas County.
Indeed.
Any person wanting to serve on the Board of Supervisors would be required to represent one of each of the five districts within Dallas County.
However, all supervisor candidates are voted in ‘At large’. This means than anyone who lives in Dallas County will vote for all of the supervisors. If you live in Dallas County, you can vote for all of us.
On your ballot, you will see a Democrat and a Republican for each of the five districts of Dallas County. Except: District 2, where the incumbent does not have an opponent. [You may write in if you wish.]
I am very proud to live in Dallas County.
And I hope you are proud as well. We have much to be grateful for. But we can be better. I’m counting on you.
Please vote on November 3, 2026.
Remember, your voice is your vote. Make your voice heard.
With best regards,
Patricia Tice
Candidate for Dallas County Supervisor
