Below is a message from Patricia following this victory:
LOVE. LISTEN. LEARN. It’s time to start caring about people again. Showing empathy and kindness.
LOVE. LISTEN. LEARN are the keys of leadership. We need to CARE enough about people to LISTEN to them, then LEARN what can be done to assist; to help out, to care.
In a rapidly growing population, we need to be mindful of the fact that there are those among us who are one paycheck away from disaster.
Food insecurity, housing insecurity, water issues, great schools, excellent healthcare…
People of any town or municipality want and need core services. Basic needs such as fire, police protection and road maintenance. Clean water. Road maintenance and snow removal.
In Dallas County, we want all of the core services and more…for everyone.
My goal is to Be Approachable, Open Minded, Accessible and Kind, always. [Capital letters intentional.]
In other words: LOVE. LISTEN. LEARN.
Thank you to all of my supporters (Good Humans) and even those who did not support me, thank you. This is democracy in action. I appreciate your efforts in building a prosperous, healthy, beautiful Dallas County for all. What a privilege it is, to be able to see, hear, breathe, live a life, walk and talk in our Dallas County. Thank you.
Now on to November.
